BASIS is committed to ensuring that we keep our clients, volunteers and staff as safe as possible during the Covid-19 pandemic.
BASIS will be reopening the Resource centre from Monday 3rd August. We will only be offering certain services due to the continued need for social distancing and keeping staff, volunteers and clients safe. Services we will be providing are as follows:
Information and support on a one to one basis by appointment only. There will be no opportunity for drop-ins. Befriending over the telephone and in some cases face to face pending individual risk assessment Home Visits where these can be offered outside, in gardens or inside based on individual risk assessments Braille lessons resuming for existing clients at the resource centre Groups such as Wednesday crafts and Guide Dog social will not resume in the near future due to the size of our resource centre and the need for social distancing.
We have not taken this decision lightly and appreciate that this may cause some inconvenience and concern, but feel this is a necessary step to take.
